Description
Everyday Outlaw

The day begins with a promise. A promise we make to ourselves about striving to be the better version of ourselves. A promise we make to think different, be different, and live the #outlawLife.

Being an Outlaw is a state of being. It's unapologetic, decisive, and an instrument of change. It's also self-deprecating with a twinkle in the eye sort of humor. It's the handshake with somebody who is in the know and it's us against the world fist bump. Whether we choose to shake up social norms or do a simple act of kindness for somebody when they need it the most.

We end the day with the same promise. We are here to stay; we will not apologize for what we do. You may see us or choose to ignore us, but be certain that we WILL affect change.

We are Everyday Outlaws.

4 month old can featuring Azacca hops A: Poured clear pale orange gold with a short fast falling white head. S: Herbal, leafy and piney hops over toasted bread and light caramel. T: Follows the nose adding orange pith, zest and pulp. Still a bit piney and more toasty than caramelly. Well balanced. M: Medium weight with crisp carbonation, clean feel and warming alcohol. O: Unexceptional but certainly good and not at peak freshness. Interested to try other hops in the series.

I actually could not wait to taste this, a beer just a couple of blocks from where my daughter lives. Could walk there but, it was easily obtainable at total wine. From the $2 can, its somewhat lighter brown, lighter than expected, but considering new castle brown ale, its ok. The nose is a somewhat volatile olfactory of malt. Initially, I'm diggen the sweet josie thang. She's pretty cute on the label but is that blonde or brunette with a slight red tinge? Or neither, not at all? But I tell you, this suffers a little from that immature new brewer thing, you know, when it has this sharp ass astringent biting character going on? Yea its light brown like a new castle but is it as civilized? I say it can't even get close. Oh well, live and learn. Hey, but least it has a 6% malty kick to it, so it has some redeeming value.

750 ml bottle shared by Andrea et. al. at the inaugural Prohibition Club, 11/13/21.Hazy plum colored, thin frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of date, plums, Twizzlers, brown sugar. Taste is date, plum, booze, brown sugar, maple. Warm, full bodied. Big beer, but very nice. First NC tick in a long-ass time.

Fresh new (undated) pint can A: Poured gently to a tall rocky head atop a dullish mostly clear pale gold body. Good retention and thick lace left. S: Tart pulpy lemon and orange citrus over musty, dusty yeast notes. T: Citrusy like the nose but more pith and zest than pulp. Also slightly more orange than lemon. Cardboardy and still dull and dusty but with a bit of spice and pepper. M: Low carbonation and medium light body seems a bit lifeless. Tart, bitter and yes, dusty finish. O: Learned after the fact that this is a kveik IPA. It's interesting and better than expected but not sure I'd buy again.

6 week old can A: Poured hard to only 1/4 of tan foam that fell to a thick ring. Brown black color with mahogany highlights. S: Bread, grains, chocolate and coffee. T: Bitter herbal hops compete with roasty coffee and unsweetened chocolate for center stage. All linger into the semi-sweet toffee finish. M: Low soft carbonation and a smooth chalky texture, finishing dry and lightly sticky. O: Nicely balanced bittersweet flavors. Easy drinking. Very good.
