(Bottle) Mahogany colour with brief, beige head. Malty nose with notes of dark bread, caramel, oak wood, whisky, a touch of peat, treacle-toffee, dried apricots and chocolate. Malty taste with oak wood, caramel, dark bread, treacle-toffee, apricots, butterscotch, almonds, chocolate, bourbon and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Tasty and warming, with a gentle wood character. Very nice.

Bottle 33 cl. pours a thick, opaque black with a small, brown head that dissiates quickly. Unclean, woody, gluey note atop the roasty fluid. Rich, sweet body, overripe fruit and molasses. Warming finish. The barrel is simply unclean and does nothing good to an otherwise great base beer. Surprising how many raters cannot detect a bad barrel aging. 060223

Can 33 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a solid and lacing, white head. Lovely, spicy tropical aromas. Medium body, fruity and yeasty, but the fruit melange is far from as pleasant as in the aroma. Dry finish. 060223

Bottle 33 cl. Pours thick and syrupy with a tiny, rough, off-white head. Very toffeeish nose, nuts and brown biscuits. Rich body with a shitload of malt. Caramelly and nutty but not overly sweet. Plenty of finishing bittering hops paired with a warming alcohol. Super well crafted. 060223

Can 44 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head. Sweet toasty nose paired with an aroma of gummy bears! Not much more than a medium body, sweet roast, some licorice with little bitterness. Quite delicious and drinkable but hardly an Imperial Stout. 230123

440ml can bought from djoeye. Shared at a rating session with Finn and lmojoh. Off-white head, clear rustic coloured body, dotted sspots on the glass. Inviting aromas of caramel malts and dried fruits. Rather sweet taste of raisin, prunes, bread, and brown malts. Dried fruity ending. Hidden alcohol. Nice sipper, just a tad too sweet in the long run. (Tromsø 17.01.2023).
