Gravity cask at the Draymans Son, Ely. Bright light gold, clear with almost no head. Lemon peel and pithy grapefruit in the aroma. Bitter taste from the citrussy hops. Thereโ€™s an underlying balancing sweetness which only serves to exacerbate the bitter kick at the end. Simple and incredibly effective.

Gravity cask at the Cambridge Beer Festival, 2016. Amber, crystal clear, almost no head but with noticeable natural carbonation. Gummy, resinous hop scent with a generous whiff of biscuity malt. Initially bittersweet but it turns bitter at the end of the sip. Intense bitterness clings to the back of the tongue and roof of the mouth in the long finish. Classic Anglo-American amber.

Handpull cask at the Jolly Brewer, Stamford. Light to mid-gold with a thin film of white head. Pineapple, grapefruit, a bit of socky funk in the aroma. Tastes like it smells but with an added papaya-esque sweet/funky savoury note. Bitter fruity hop in the long satisfying finish. A gorgeous beer.

Gravity poured half-pint on 26th Aug 2015 at the Peterborough Beer Festival. Poured a clear golden yellow, the head a small white affair. Aroma was malty, toasted roasted with a little floral hop presence. The taste was malt first with a mini-bitter hop bite and citrus like notes. OK for such a low ABV beer.
