Bottle. A murky orangey brown beer topped by a small, beige head. Caramel, some sourish berry hints, chocolate notes and bread crusts in the aroma. The flavor has a nice bitterness, something spiced and raisin like, with chocolate and roasted malts. A nice bitterness in the chocolatey, rasiny finish. A bit low on carbonation, still feeling fizzy, with a full body. Quite dry. Sort of harsh this one, not a favorite of mine, that’s for sure. 141220

Bottle. It pours an unclear orange-amber body under a creamy, two-finger off-white head. Some lacings. The aroma is a bit weak, with a roasted maltyness, some caramel and nuts. Roasted malts, caramel and a touch of rye bread in the flavor, with a nice bitterness underneath. Semi-dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level, although a bit high. Lasting bready, caramel finish with a fine bitterness. A quite nice one, but I guess it’s best suited with some food to go along. 141220
