Description
Kettlesmith Brewing Company is a small, independent craft micro-brewery located in Bradford on Avon, just outside of Bath. We brew modern interpretations of a wide variety of beer styles; we draw inspiration from our background in America and England as well as our love of Belgian beer.

We see beer as having a place in restaurants and at the dinner table as a serious alternative to wine, a passion spearheaded by Antony, who is our head brewer and a Certified Cicerone. We aim to support our products with information, education and food pairing advice. We partner with other food producers to encourage people to see beer with fresh eyes.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to New Ken. Pours unclear gold with a frothy, white head. A little doughy, sweet, with nips of citrus fruits, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes lightly grassy, along with some lemon peel. So so.

Keg from the brewer's own stand at the Frome Independent market. Murky amber-brown with a beige head. A bit metallic up front, then a little caramel, brown sugar and a mild nutty finish. A bit dull, but it grew on me and went surprisingly well with the freshly-made stroopwaffels I bought from a very friendly Dutchman on a nearby stall.

Keg at Drift, Poole. Dark gold and very very gassy with a firm white head. Hint of Belgian yeast on the nose, a touch of funk. Semi-sweet taste with a drying note in the finish, some spice in the yeast but it's fairly tame. Mouthfeel is as gassy as it looks. Not overly exciting.
