GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts. Bitter floral mid. Bitterish pith. A little brighter citrus develops. Light finish. Whisper of hop skunk in the aftertaste. Should be doing more with this hop content.

Cask at GBBF ’16, day one, 09/08/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off White head. Nose is citric sherbets, tangerine, straw, bread dough. Taste comprises melon, toasted grains, citric kissed straw, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average for style, lacks hop definition.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 26th. August 2016. Deep ruby, almost black with a pale tan shallow, spot-lacing foam top. Bitter chocolate roastiness and coffee aromas. Roasty malts, touch of smoke and hints of citrus in-mouth. A nutty caramel kick late, then a finish of lightly roasted malts. Said finish falls a little shirt in depth and duration, otherwise a fine stout.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 26th August 2016. Clear amber with shallow, whitish foam. Toasted caramel malt and leafy hop aromas. Sweet, soft fruit, some earthiness and leafy/floral hops in-mouth, all rounded off by maltiness. Upper-mouth bitterness in the finish. Light mouthfeel but a reasonable amount of body.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 18th August 2016. Deep brown with off-white non-lacing foam. Roasty malts and intense spiciness in aroma. Plum, bitter chocolate, rich nuttiness and roast coffee in-mouth with grapefruit citrus. A spicy, roasty, burnt malt finish. Full-bodied with a surprisingly light mouthfeel. Excellent.
