Cask @ Wolf, Birmingham. Hazed golden with a very thin bubbly head. Tropical fruit hopped in both aroma and taste, and ever so slightly stewed in the latter. Crisp.

Cask half-pint (as Figgy Mild, they’ve dropped Lynn) at the Wrekin Inn, Wellington Shropshire on 30th May 2017. Misty dark brown body, beige topping. Fruity, figgy and datey in both the nose and taste: bit sweet, but different and interesting.

Cask at the Dove Street Inn Spring Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is Sorachi Ace hop, citrus and light tropical fruit, lemongrass and cream. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Toward medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finish is very dry, with some lasting fruity bitterness. Best beer of the festival so far.

Cask half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 28th Apr 2017. Dark brew with a beige head. Coffee esters dominate the nose, also dominates in the taste, coffee flavours ooze from the malty based brew. A liquorice trace or two towards the finish: liked it. A light alcohol ’Frappé coffee’.

Cask in the Albrighton Platform Alehouse, Shropshire on 24th March 2017. Clean and clear amber body, decent white head that hung around. Piney hops in the nose with some fruity esters alongside. The taste was also hop led with very little malt presence. Not overly bitter, but a gentle hoppy beer throughout.

Cask at the Victoria, Walsall. Poured a clear medium amber with a long lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big tropical fruit. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a smooth rich woody hop bitter, fruity light spice palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. More of an ESB than an IPA to me.
