Established in 1994
Beginning in 1994 with a 7 barrel converted dairy system, we set and accomplished the goal of providing unique traditional ales & lagers available through OHB. Quickly we outgrew that system.
In 1997, we began the renovation of an 1880 Historic Landmark building, which now houses our brewing facilities, a 25-barrel Price Schonstrom brew house.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, medium to full sized brown colored head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, softly roasty, notes of honey. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, roasty malt bitters, bitterness. Lingering malty bitterness. Solid body and carbonation. Oily texture. Quite nice.

Bomber at home. Opaque pitch black color, full sized dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, bourbon and some...raisins? Flavor is malts, bourbon, raisins, some alcohol, more raisins. Hmm...odd to be honest. Something weird in this beer. Ah wait, raspberries I now see are added. That must be that weird side flavor I get. Unfortunately the influence if too much for me personally, it dominates the beer, not in the way that you get it immediately but in the way that it is not one of the contributing flavors that carry the beer with the other flavors, but it is (too) present in the aroma, in the initial flavor and in the aftertaste. Raspberries -and other red fruit as well- are quickly added too much, that much is definitely true. Pity, very nice base beer.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma is mild tropical fruity, citrusy, grainy, resinous and floral. Pours clear amber color with medium sized frothy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light to medium sweet biscuit and resin, following is citrusy, herbal and earthy, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Bitter death...
