Description
Founded in 2017 Three Hills Brewing is experimental at itโs core. We produce small batches, in a variety of styles, pushing boundaries to create the most interesting drinks we can for our customers to enjoy.
Our HQ is based in the countryside of Northamptonshire where we have 600l system, counter pressure canning machine, laboratory, barrel ageing program & cold store.
In 2020, we expanded into The Outpost, a new brewery with taproom on the Bermondsey beer mile.
Three Hills entered liquidation in May 2025.

Tried in a can picked up from The Leicester BF. Lost the card for the guys that had the bottle/can concession. Cloudy brown colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste a subtle malty and citrus fruit. Medium to full Body.

This was tried T BrewDog Leicester. And was the 8% tonka version. Absolutely black with a tan head. Rich malty yet smooth aroma and taste with sweet to light bitter hints. Creamy body. So easy drinking.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Dark gold with a touch of amber. A thin layer of loose white head. Aroma laden with resinous pine, overripe peach, dried fig, papaya. Sweet with musty booze and a hit of brandy on the tongue. Uncompromising bittering hops on the finish, leading to flavours of peach and strong, sweet iced tea on the aftertaste. Love this one.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light gold, almost straw. Very slightly hazy. Tiny film of white head and lots of lacing. It's got a very gentle scent of grapefruit, buttered toast, hay. Bittersweet taste with strong flavours of white grape and vanilla. Body is delicate, slightly oily, with soft to meedium carbonation. Not one of my favourites from Three Hills but still decent.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Very dark brown, opaque with a thick khaki head. The aroma is fairly light, with coffee grounds, fudge and woodsmoke. Sweet taste, slightly milky, with a balancing bitterness courtesy of earthy hop in the long finish. Notes of plum and salted caramel in the aftertaste. An elegant little stout with big flavour.

440ml can from Brewdog Bottlebox. Crisp, floral and grassy with some hay, citrus and pine notes. Easy going and light bodied. Feels more like a golden ale than a session IPA.

Appearance is golden and clear, a white foamy head of around 1 finger. Aroma- orange, pineapple, hint of grapefruit, fresh hops. Taste- orange and pineapple dominate, mango, tropical fruits, bitter hops, caramel biscuity malt undertones, good for the low abv.
