Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Borough Wines. Pours clear gold with a fluffy, white head. Orange peel in the aroma, some dried out pale malts. Light sweet flavour with moderate bitter pine needles, citrus rind, bread crust, pale grains. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with some further husky grains, lemon rind, grass, dry pale malts. So so overall.

Keg at CBR 2018. Pours clear reddish brown with a frothy, khaki head. Big sweet coffee aroma, milky, with mild roast, chocolate, vanilla pods. Medium sweet flavour with lots of creamy coffee, milk chocolate, mild earthy bitterness, a touch of ash. Medium bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, more pronounced roast, bittersweet cocoa, toasted vanilla, more milky coffee. Nice one all around.

Can from Hoppily. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a small off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, grain, malt and damp straw. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Bitter, fruity finish. Certainly not your average lager.

Beavertown Trillium TTO. Can - cheers Scopey! Light haze on this gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent carbonation. Pithy citric orange hops, touch of pine. Emerging grapefruit. Light finish. Tidy.

Can at home in Hackney - piked up at Borough Wines. A little gushy on the open. Pours clear yellow-gold, effervescent, with a big, frothy white head. Crispy grains in the aroma, lemon peel, hay. Light sweet flavour, dry and flinty, with some pine needles, more lemon peel, husky grains. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Dry and fairly clean in the finish, with further bitter straw, light grass, more grain husks, citrus peel. A bit one dimensional, but not bad.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Clissold Wines. Pours clear auburn with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds leafy hops, old pine, dried citrus peel. Light sweet flavour with flinty minerals, lightly toasted grains, a bit of pine, toasted grains, suggestions of dry toffee. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and flinty on the finish, with more pine needles, a little tobbaco leaf, some earthy hints, more toasted bread and grains, orange peel. Fairly uninspiring.
