6th July 2022 Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation comes through on the back end. Light clean malts. A mild lager tang in the mid. Hops bring a light fruitiness, a little green orchard fruits with a touch of citrus. Soft pine alongside. Tastes like Jester hop but the can mentions a selection of British hops, maybe Ernest as well? Light finish. A light clean and quaffable lager that hits the spot.

330ml can from Virgin Wines (as a Limited edition 'Golden Ale'), 4.4%ABV; BB 2nd July 2022. Same beer? Most likely, it's got First Gold and Olicana Hops in it. Poured into a vase shaped UK pint glass at home on 30th June 2022, after walking Bertie in the afternoon sunshine. Short lived white head on an almost clear light golden body. Easy drinking summer ale, refreshing and thirst quenching but lacking in oomph, depth, aroma and flavour: Apart from that it's fine! What's the different between bland and subtle?

Can from a Qwerty Beer Box. Aroma had is malty, grainy, with dark berries and coffee. Opaque dark gold. Thick foamy microbubbled off-white head. Medium bitter with a tangy sour edge. Coffee. The sour edge developd into sweet fruit and caramel. But the bitter notes remain throughout. Light-medium bodied. Slick. A touch creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long if not OTT finish. Enjoyable.
