330ml can. Very dark brown with a thick foamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, a little grassy hop. There are more hops in the flavour, along with that same roasted malt and some dried fruit too finish

Can at home, from HOTM online, 24/11/21. Very lightly hazed orange with a good sized lasting white cap. Nose is bready malts, light herb, hedgerow, light spice, stewed fruits, just a hint of soap which lets this down a touch. Taste comprises caramel, fruit slice, biscuit, herb, bready notes, pale malts, light spice, stewed fruits. Medium bodied with a little bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid bock bier.

Can from HoTM. It pours ever so slightly hazy orange with a a fluffy white head. The aroma is earthy, nutty, woody, biscuit, rivita, dried grass, spice and dull sweetness. The taste is firmly dry, punchy earthy bitterness which lingers, leafy, floral, nutty, spicy, woody, rivita, brown bread and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. More bitter than I was expecting. Decent gear.

On tap at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours a golden amber with a small white head. There is an aroma reminiscent of lime marmalade here. Mouthfeel is sweet and malty with caramel and traces of corn and lemongrass. Malts carry through to the finish. Simple, clean, refreshing – nice !
