Description
Based in Swindon and nearby Cricklade, the Hop Kettle Brewing Co. was founded by Tom Gee.

With over two decades of experience in hospitality, we have the insider’s understanding of the drinks industry, and the technical knowledge required to create one-of-a-kind brews. Rather than seeing beer as an established product in an established industry, we see it as a drink with no end of potential and variety. Hop Kettle Brewing Co. represents our means of exploring the possibilities of brewing, using a diverse range of ingredients to create beers with unique flavour profiles.

Cask at CPK - London. Pours clear gold with a small, creamy white head. The nose has a little tangy citrus, butterscotch. Medium sweet flavour, some grass, dough, toasted sugars, more. Itteracorch, a little carpet. Medium to full bodied, a little oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky, some earth, toasted sugars. Fairly mediocre.

Bottle from Crockford Bridge Farm Shop, Addlestone. Soft scented aroma - a mixture of dough, honey and floral elements. Light amber. A tad hazy. Thin but creamy white head. I usually this seemed a bit raw but it grew on me. Sweet fruit sugars, honeydew melon. An underlying citrus bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. Guess being on it's side in a vibrating fridge didn't help matters. One it settled it grew on me. Had thought of adding it as a Gold but read a description that I now cannot locate which mentioned US hops and I'd say it's not just a basic Gold take on a Pale Ale.
