ABV: 5.2%. Clear medium brown - red amber colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange, resin, wood. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, wood, resin, orange. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171013]

Malty, roasted taste with notes of sweet black coffee, black rye bread, liquorice and a balanced coffee bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. On the sweet side, but tasty and rich. Nice one.

Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, raisins, prunes, orange peel and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty. Nice one.

Cask at the cask pub and kitchen. A deep amber brown coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is sweet toffee, chewy, tangy, light funk. Flavour is composed medium sweet, chewy, moderate carbonation, tangy, green bramble, diacetyl, paint, solvent. Harsh paint.

Cask at CPK - London. Pours clear gold with a small, creamy white head. The nose has a little tangy citrus, butterscotch. Medium sweet flavour, some grass, dough, toasted sugars, more. Itteracorch, a little carpet. Medium to full bodied, a little oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky, some earth, toasted sugars. Fairly mediocre.
