Description
Based in Swindon and nearby Cricklade, the Hop Kettle Brewing Co. was founded by Tom Gee.

With over two decades of experience in hospitality, we have the insider’s understanding of the drinks industry, and the technical knowledge required to create one-of-a-kind brews. Rather than seeing beer as an established product in an established industry, we see it as a drink with no end of potential and variety. Hop Kettle Brewing Co. represents our means of exploring the possibilities of brewing, using a diverse range of ingredients to create beers with unique flavour profiles.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - gusher but not as much as the Joe Allen which required some carpet cleaning. Opened it outside. Snow white head over a pale yellow body. Nose - light grass, lemon and hop spice. Taste - lemon, lemon curd and light grassy herby bitterness. Palate - light bodied, a little sweet in the middle and gentle bitterness. Overall - ok.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - massive gusher, biggest gusher since I gave up homebrewing. Eventually, murky yellow but have lost half of it. Nose - grass and herbs. Hop spice. Taste - more green herb and spice notes. Palate - light bodied, bitter finish. Overall - didn't get much of the touted fruity hops. Apart from that, it was a gusher.

Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Light gusher. Pours hazy pale yellow gold with a thick white head. High carb makes it a tricky pour. Aromas of light orange and resin. Taste has some bread and marmalade. Clean finish.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - bright orange with a light haze. Big fluffy white head. Nose - blood orange and pink grapefruit. Taste - grapefruit and orange again. Zesty grapefruit at the back. Just a little creaminess from the lactose. Palate - light bodied, dry, balanced zesty finish. Overall - very nice, even if not as creamy as expected.

7.1
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - bright but cloudy amber with a big foamy ice-cream head. Nose - tangerine, and while I can get nuttiness, it seems more like almond than coconut, at this point. Taste - creamy coconut this time, as well as tinned mandarin. Palate - light bodied, tangy middle and a dry, malty finish, accentuated by the nutty aspect of Sabro. Overall - good.

Taste - soft fruit cake which then gives way to dried citrus before citrus zest on the close. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy in texture with balanced bitterness. Overall - very enjoyable.
