On cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - orange and caramel. Brown bread. Taste - more bread and caramel. Again some subtle citrus. Palate - creamy and roasty in texture. Medium bodied-ish. Roasty finish. Overall - quite like the Bitter.

On cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - amber with a proportionate head. Nose - caramel and biscuits. Subtle orange note. Taste - more caramel biscuits, possibly again with some citrus intermingled. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry, and fairly balanced finish. Overall - a solid bitter.

On cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - golden amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - lemon and peach. Herbs and resin. Taste - more citrus and herbs. Light resin again. Palate - creamy and light bodied. Dry, bitter finish. Overall - a good example of the style.

On keg at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - dark brown to black. Nice fawn head. Nose - creamy chocolate and caramel. Also, a smoky, charcoal or liquorice edge to it. Taste - more smokiness and caramel too. The chocolate comes through at the back. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Long, balanced finish. Overall - nice stout, this one! Very complex.

On keg at Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - golden amber. Decent head. Nose - caramel, orange, grape & apple. Taste - more fruit salad and the caramel is there too, but in not too great a volume. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry, crunchy finish. Overall - good, and not that traditional.

On keg at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - golden with thin but attractive lacing. Nose - light citrus and pine. Then orange and perhaps ripe melon. Taste - resin and light biscuit. More orange and perhaps something else tropical. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture. Light tangy finish. Overall - good.
