Description
Way up on the hills above Tintagel lies Condolden Farm, the highest Farmhouse in Cornwall and the home of Tintagel Brewery.
Originally set up in an old and redundant milking parlour, the environmentally friendly brewery is now housed in a state of the art, purpose-built facility.
We use pure water from our spring, rising 852 feet above the sea at Trebarwith Strand, and our very own wind turbine, to produce a suite of classic real ales for all of Cornwall to enjoy.
All beers are also made with wet yeast (a great mark of quality) and English malts and hops (so that they hold their head well), and have a refreshing sparkle in their character from cask conditioning.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2016. Poured golden brown with a small white head. Aroma quite malty, some fruit. Was a bit sour. Didn’t have to throw it away but wasn’t one of the better bitters tried this year at the festival.

Cask at the Front, Falmouth, 25/04/16. Rich brown with reddish hues in the light, topped with a light beige crown of bubbles. Nose is light charr, raises, toffee, fruit cake, brown bread, toasted brown sugars. Taste is liquid fruit cake, dates, light peppery spice, burnt toffee, earthy berry compote. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent strong ... A classic fireside winter warmer for me.

Cask at the Front, Falmouth. It pours deep ruby - brown with a thick light tan head. A big dirty pint of it no less (bartender’s fault)! The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich roast, charred wood, umami, plum and jammy berry. The taste is big, rich, chewy malt, charred wood, roasted malt, blackcurrant jam, plum pudding, toast, umami, liquorice, peppery spice, earth and treacle with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit chewy, but it has a nice fruity character. Decent strong boost ale.
