Very dark brown, almost black, small light beige head. Aroma has bourbon, malt, dark dried fruit, wood. Sweet, boozy flavour. Malty, bourbony, a little chocolate, bitter, boozy. Feels a little thin beneath the booze.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of whiskey, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, whiskey, smoke, dark chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a dry smokey finish. A bit overdone on the barrel aging for me.

Tap@Blue Raven, Copenhagen - very hazy orange pour with a white head. Big juicy fruit mango prominence, some additional fruity undertones, big pulpy mango, medium body, fruity hoppy finish. Good stuff.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an opaque, dark brown with a light brown head. Intense, sweet whiskey aroma, although not particularly ryeish. And fortunately very little peat here. Rich, sweet, fatty body, caramel and nuts on a rather boozy background. Lots of nice wood here and an acceptable level of tannins. Again there's plenty of warming whiskey here, but it doesn't have that sweet and smooth vanilla that you get in American whiskeys. Still a very pleasant and warming sipper. 280519

11th May 2019.Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft with reasonable fine carbonation. Not quite sumptuous, but getting there. A little soft creamy dark malts, touch of dark chocolate. Soft but rich coffee, slightly fruity and slightly spicy. Drop of Kahlua in there. Smooth spicy finish, fruity earthy coffee in the aftertaste. Tasty and easy drinking.
