‘American IPA’ from a brewpub in Missouri I had never heard of; can from Bar Beenhouwer. Off-white, moussy, slowly breaking head, cloudy apricot blonde robe with slightly ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of lime zest, guava, vanilla orchid blossom, lemongrass, milk, yellow Zespri kiwi, wet marijuana, chalk. Sweetish onset with sourish edge, green guava, incompletely ripe mango and lime zest notes, medium carbonated with doughy, soft malt soil with bready edge, drenched in rich hop aromas, bringing back the tropical fruit associations as well as a refreshing, zesty citrusiness – indeed a combo reminiscent of classic Mosaic supporting Citra. The Columbus remains a bit in the background, in the form of a very slightly herbal, lemongrassy aspect. Mango, lime blossom and guava close the day, with some lingering breadiness, soft underlying bitterness and sheer elegance. Seemingly seeking to evoke a dash of West Coast and in that sense very vaguely labelled “American IPA”, this is essentially a New England IPA, and an accomplished one at that.

ABV: 7.0%. Murky matt medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, fruity hops, minerals, tropical fruit, citrus, papaya, mango. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, fruity hops, minerals, wheat, papaya, mango, light pine. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20220123]

Can shared at Your Old Droog Cellar Blast. Thanks to whoever brought this one. Pours a mostly clear copper with almost no head. Aromas of banana and caramel on the nose. Vanilla on the palate with more caramel. Super sweet throughout and a bit cloying on the finish.

--Canned, from Glasbanken. -- Hazy golde, mid sized head. Mild tropical fruit aroma. Sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Plenty of bun dough, some mixed tropical fruit juice. Mid bitter finish. On the sweet side.

Can sourced from The Social Beer Shop and shared at home - hazy orange with a white head. Citrus and light tropical fruity with some notes of tangerine, mango and grapefruit, pine needles, sweet supportive malts, piney light bitter resinous hoppy finish. Solid no nonsense easy drinking IPA.

16oz can pours out straw color topped with a white head. Nose is nice crisp malts some grass. Taste is more of the nice crisp malts some light grain and grass.

ABV: 8.6%. Murky matt medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat, sweet malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, fruity hops, tropical fruit, stone fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, tropical fruit, fruity hops, fruity, sweet malt, sweet fruit, wheat, stone fruit, citrus - mango, medium dry.
