Keg at Taps on Main, Kansas City. Dank aroma. Hazy. A little bit soapy at the end even if it has good bitterness.

Can (11/13/26) from CBC Liquors - Westford. Cloudy, yellow with tons of sparkle, thin head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong herb, citrus, white grape. Taste is strong grape, lighter herb and citrus, biscuit. Smooth, silky, frothy texture, soft carbonation, dry, biscuity/grapey finish. Well made. Could be more complex.

Can (3/3/25) from the taproom. Virtually opaque dark brown with tons of sparkle, ample head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong vanilla, maple and cinnamon over Mexican coffee. Taste is strong maple and sweet vanilla over cacao nibs, cinnamon, late coffee. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation, mild alcohol warmth, finish as taste. Overall, excellent strength and complexity. Gets a tad sweet. It would be fantastic to get this in a bourbon barrel!

Can (5/13/25) from the taproom. Cloudy, bright yellow, nice sparkle, tall head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong lemon and tropical fruit, light white grape. Taste follows aroma with background cracker/biscuit. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, dry, mostly bitter finish with some white grape. Getting some real Nelson-like notes w/o using any. Enjoyable APA.

Can (5/15/25) from the taproom. Cloudy, bright yellow, tons of sparkle, massive head with excellent retention and soapy lacing. Aroma is strong white grape over much milder herb, hints of grapefruit and citrus. Taste mirrors aroma. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste with vague background sense of alcohol but is neither burn nor astringency nor harshness. Just a "presence." Am super glad that somebody got the white grape out of a recent(?) crop of Nelson--welcome back! Manages to dodge the usual sin of inability to cover alcohol. Good execution of a Triple.
