Description
As a lover of hand-crafted ales and a desire to create my own product, I decided it was time the Falkland Islands had its own brewery.

So in 2012 Falkland Beerworks was born.

My aim is to produce high quality, natural and consistently first-rate ales using quality ingredients and traditional methods. All with your and my enjoyment in mind.

26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. 500ml bottle conditioned, brought back from the Falklands by a friend, I in turn shared it with four other mates along with another Falklands Beerworks brew. Slight haze to the golden body, thin white head. Hop lead in both the aroma and taste, balanced by some semi-sweet maltiness. Decent.

26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. 500ml bottle conditioned, brought back from the Falklands by a friend, I in turn shared it with four other mates. Light haze to the golden pour, white crown on top. Not as exciting as we had all hoped to be honest, weak malty front with not a lot going on in either the nose or taste, mild bitterness towards the finish. Luckily the second Falkland Beerworks beer (Iron Lady) was better all round.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Mar 18. Many thanks to Jeremy for sourcing this! Pours misty gold, white head. Light malt grain on the nose, a touch euro-lagery. Taste continues with a light pale malt character, floral glimpses with a subtle bitter finish. Essentially a light, almost watery golden ale.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 18. Many thanks to Jeremy for bringing this rarity! Pours a misty gold, small foamy white head, soft hoppy nose. Noticeable cascade presence on the palate, light zest with a soft bitterness and just enough prickly hops to keep things interesting.
