500 ml bottle. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of woody chocolate, macaroons, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of dark chocolate, a bit of mint, macaroons/coconut, sugar, and oily roasted malts. Initially sweet, finishes warm and bitter. With the exception of the bitter finish, and nice attempt at Nanaimo bar.

473mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of dry oak, roasted malt, and no hint of rum. Flavour is full of iodine, medium roasted malt, and bone dry oak. Bone dry, gritty, and just not that dynamic. Meh.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy gold yellow with yeast particles that sink to the bottom and a small, creamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, lemon, peach, pineapple, orange, passionfruit, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, oats, coconut and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. An easy drinking juice bomb.

Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, earthy yeast and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and delicious.

500mL bottled pours jet black with a tiny brown head. Aroma brings out lots of banana, some toffee, booze, and cocoa. Flavour is very boozy, with lots of banana, toffee, a little cocoa, and booze. Boozy, sweet, and banana-y. Rather harsh and way too boozy. Not too impressive.

Opaque, thin head. Tropical hop, some hop burn but not much bitterness. The hops pop but I can pick out anything in particular -kind of a wall of noise. Alcohol slides in at the end, but it'�s mostly just okay.

Dull pinkish colour. Medium head, but it'�s weak. Toasty aroma (I think from yeast), random berries. Grapey, moderate tartness, random fruits, okay I get the concept. Would prefer a definitive character of some kind, but I guess sangria doesn'�t have that, which is why I don'�t like sangria. So the beer seems like it hit the mark, I just don'�t personally get excited about that.

Black, lasting tan head. Nice sugary cinnamon nose and palate, lactose sweetness. Good body. Somewhat intense bitterness (boozy and hops)

Dull pale peachy kind of colour. Thin head. Aroma has a lot of strawberry and elderflower hit it is the latter that dominates the palate. Some lactose, too.

Pale and opaque. Nose has lots of apple and a little bit of cinnamon, but these elements end of being sort of clashy with the base beer. On the palate, tart, appley, not getting the creamy elements the label talks about. I do get a touch of cinnamon, though. Lactose may be the autotune of the beer world but in this case I actually want more of it in there -what does that really say about this beer?
