Description
Binghams Brewery opened its doors in 2010 and was located in the Berkshire village of Twyford. We’ve been brewing quality cask ales across the spectrum from lighter thirst slaying session beers (3.7%) to something with a bit more oomph (5.0%).

Moved to Woodley in 2020, brewing ceased shortly after.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy yellowish gold beer, snall pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly smooth, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Tangy thin citrus. Floral citrus. Whisper of something skunky. Very mild spice. Light dry finish. A bit thin.

Cask at the Maidenhead Beer Festival 2018. Pale amber with a ring of white head; fruity aroma; soft tropical fruit taste with a sour grainy body; then an odd herbal bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester 8 June 2018. Deep gold in colour and slightly hazy, with a moderately-sized, white, head. Floral hops, plenty of orange fruit character, crisp malts, leading to a moderately dry finish. Good.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. An opaque black pour with a ring of cream head; aroma of milky chocolate and orange; similar taste, very sweet with an oaty body; then a drier finish with a lingering bitter chocolate, but also traces of corn syrup. This didn't quite work for me - too sweet I guess.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Struggling to pick up a feint chocolate and malt aroma. Dark brown. Cola brown in the light. The white bubbly head just provides a few mm of cover around the ring. Light sweet, creamy chocolate. Underlying berry bitterness. Sugar in the finish. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long if low key finish. Enjoyable. An Old Ale but may as well be a Mild or other darker style.

Cask at the Greyfriar, Reading. A pale straw pour with a thin white head; fresh grassy aroma; clean in teh mouth with a crispy lemon sherbert taste; and a dry grainy finish. Not the best of this series, the Citra hops don't really make their presence felt.
