22oz bomber in birthday box from Elise. Bottle had leaked a little in shipment so right into the fridge and drank that night. Thick, viscous black body. Not much of a head at all, unfortunately. A very big beer, but attempts to capture a sort of unexplored territory, the Belgian Imperial Porter. Roasty chocolate tones over what I would guess to be amber malt. Captures some Porter characteristics, but also kind of has an oily feel, not unlike the big booziness of barrel aged beers. Tobacco notes. The lack of carbonation sort of detracts..ends up with a still cask feel. Sweet molasses and black malt flavor. I don’t like cigars, but this is a serious cigar beer. Tasty.
