Description
Nightjar Brew Co is the brand created by the team behind Slightly Foxed, established in 2011. This is a continuation of business – not one company going ‘under’ to re-emerge as another – same AWRS, VAT number, company number etc. After many successful years creating award-winning and popular cask beers, the brewery took a decision to undertake a significant rejuvenation.

But unlike a new entrant into the market, we come with many years of knowledge, learning, innovation, and expertise that’s mandatory for crafting a product that customers in 2018 are seeking out and expecting.

I've driven by Laguna Beach to and from San Diego, but never stopped. Given it's a hazy west coast beer, this is a flexible 'classic' term depending on how far back you want to go as 'classic' with this style. The taste is classic though, crisp hoppy dominant, dryish, underlining tropical notes. Some strength.

Ordered this hazy dark dank golden brew when a departing beer tour coach party are all trying use the one toilet here - with much loathing for the last holding everyone else up! This holds up well for a strong cask, its smoothness a plus as the alcohol is impactful. Tropical notes do make their mark though, in both aroma and taste.

Tap Out 3 Times Beer#18 Visited three new Taps today,, a final afterthought here, which is a mildly hazy hoppy-first, tropical fruit second session strength brew. I think it's a bit more complex tasting to be a session but it's easy enough.

I ordered this beer after a greeting of "Hello Guys", despite being alone, the server said he's too used to saying that. A black in colour porter, which is a little different being gluten free, but very regular otherwise. There's nothing wrong with this traditionally brewed effort, it has a strong enough roasted aroma, and the same could be said about its taste in terms of style.

A thought whilst drinking this mildly hazed crisp keg pour - a quarter million UK badgers have been culled since 2013. It's more hoppy than fruity, and creamy in texture and taste, which is quite pleasant in its aftertaste. Tropical aroma.

Aroma is chewy... yeah.. oaty. Low key coffee. Berry edge. Underlying creaminess. Flavourwise there's an initial tang- sour berries. Underlying sweet vanilla and oatmeal. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Decent.

The oldest known poem isn't quite neanderthal, but about 5000 years old.
A clear golden brew, one I got to knew;
Hoppy in its nose, nothing like a gose;
Crisp but maybe bland, thankfully a better next beer is on hand.

My first ever immediate boss wore a beanie. Mildly hazed golden coloured beer. A low keg strength makes this easy and appealing, although quite average in its hoppy taste. There's nothing negative here though, and is very orderable.

I only knew this beer a while
I saw it and I smiled
'Til it was time to go
Time to go back home... time to go back home,
Sometimes it's hard to recognise
A tropical fruity beer with some surprise
And it's too late
It's just too late to stay,
Too late for more

We'll always be together
However far it seems

We'll always be together
Together in Plastic Dreams.
