Second growler with Doug and Henry.
My portion was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a fairly dark brown almost black in color with a film of white foamy head. Just slides out into oblivion pretty smooth and quick.
The aroma had a nicer blend than their stout with the vanilla bean to roastiness of the coffee bean. Seemed just a touch higher, but smelled really nice.
The flavor even blended better than their stout, the sweet to the roast just sat damn nice against the ebb and flow on my tastebuds. Aftertaste was pretty light of the previously mentioned flavors/aromas. Quick somewhat more roasty sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body and moves quite nicely along my tongue. Sits very nicely as a Porter’s sessionability along my tongue. ABV felt right.
Overall, extremely well done porter, I think I’m about to put these guys on my radar.

My portion was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slowly fell off.
The aroma had some deep dark roasted coffee beans with some milk chocolate and dark chocolate nibs playing with a little bit of vanilla bean ever so slightly.
The flavor leaned towards the roastiness of the coffee beans. Some sweetness of the coffee beans do come out as it warms. Moved nicely into the aftertaste and slyly into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable to sipping sort of quality about it. Mild carbonation feeling about the ABV, both play nicely to the touch of my tongue.
Overall, pretty nice coffee stout worthy of having again.
