7.2% at the source with the wife at the start of our vacay. Somewhat opaque, dark tea brew. Slightly sour, melon-y, floral nose. Malty, caramel, cooked jalapeno, earth & aspirin, wheat body, plastic, prickly heat with nothing lingering. A touch itchy, medium low carb, medium acid, very low tartness. Nah.

On tap at the source. Pours a dark tawny copper color with a thin short lived off white head. Spicy pepper and earthy spice on the nose with bits of tasty malt. Flavor is spicy earthy pepper and clove atop bready toasty malt. The heat comes in the finish and lingers building to medium level of hot on the back of the throat.Nicely done.

On tap at the source. Dark brown with hints of garnet at the edges and a good sized long lasting off white head. Coffee and cream in the nose and taste light roast and earth with a hint of pepper pretty nice.

16 oz. draft. Bready malt, mild spice, toasted toffee. Pretty crisp texture. Decent texture and body.

16 oz draft. Wow. The pepper is mild in the aroma. In the flavor it has light hay, straw upfront with a pretty spicy finish. Spicy burn. If you pepper brews this will work. Jeez

16 oz pint. Deep brown color. Aroma os mild roast and vanilla. The flavor does show mild amount of peach under the Vanilla and roast. Pretty cool brew!!

ABV: 7.2%. Cloudy medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, ripe fruit, dried fruit, rich malt, chili fruit notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, chili fruit, sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit - yeast, chili warm finish. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190122]

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy dark orange almost brown in color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off fairly quick. No lace.
The aroma had some soft sweet floral chamomile up front with a touch of grassiness and then some light pine. Ginger sits way back in this one.
The flavor had the floral sweetness up front just like in the aroma but then the ginger comes out ever so slightly. Sly floral aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat between a light and medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Ginger seemed light enough to not distract from any sort of harshness that could be felt.
Overall, this one was a nice one, worthy of having again. Even ginger haters could give this a try, maybe.

The appearance was a stiff muddy orange color, somewhat pale yet dark with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Stringy lace.
The aroma had some semi-bitter to malty sweet breadiness over some light citrus and earthy hops.
The flavor leaned towards the malts initially and developed fairly nice and easy on into the aftertaste. Sly little malty finish.
On the palate, this one sat between a light and medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Light carbonation. ABV felt just a tad under the projected percentage by the brewer, but that didn’t bother me.
Overall, pretty good APA worthy of having again.
