Can picked up from Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK. Consumed at home Sunday 20th December 2020 listening to Daniel Blumberg - On & On. Pours hazy amber with a white head, no great looker. Plenty of pithy citrusy flavours, grapefruit prominent amongst them, a little juicy but seem more bitter than the description suggests. Good.

440ml can. Pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma of massive rum and coconut, golden syrup, smells like Malibu. Taste is boozy, again a huge amount of rum, lots of coconut, golden syrup, roast malts, not getting much Hob Nobs or really any chocolatey or biscuity flavours, does a remarkable job of not being too sweet though given all the sugar and syrup. Full bodied and smooth. Great stout, just wish it retained more of the Hob Nob flavour.

Can from Brew Cavern. Pale hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma floral and tropical fruity taste Belgian yeasty dry and light spice. Medium slight grainy body.

Third, gravicask, at the 22nd Oxford Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Clear copper coloured body, missing head, fragile lacing. Vanilla sweet malty aromas. Nuts and caramel to the taste buds, distant notes of leaves. Ends rather sweet and malty. Accepted. (25.10.2019).

Handpull cask from the Blue Boar, Leicester. Dark gold with an olive hue, hazy with some loose white head. Grassy aroma, slightly drain-y with some melon peel. Bittersweet taste, very grassy and very melony, but it doesn't gel as a taste profile. Slight body with no carbonation. A tough sell and a fairly emphatic no from me.

[ As Bang The Elephant Batty Fang ].Unclear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, nutty, pale malt, fruity hops, light orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, nutty, sweet malt, caramel, pale malt, marmalade hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
