Description
A character pub, set within a listed 17th century building. The Angel has a wealth of history, as detailed below. Beginning as two humble town houses and developing over the years in to a venue of great reputation. In 2026 The Angel Microbrewery was born.

We produce a great selection of ever changing ales in our onsite microbrewery. From standard, easy drinking pales and rich chocolatey porters to exciting black IPA's and single hopped casks. All of our beer is unfined, making it vegan friendly and has no gluten containing ingredients. We're always pouring at least three of our brews, perfectly conditioned and extremely tasty.

Half-pint, cask at the micropub. Shared with Finn. Stable fawn-coloured head, coal black in the glass, dotted spots on the glassware. Sweet chocolate aromas, lightly roasted, promising. The taste profile follows suit with cocoa and chocolate malts, backed by lactose sweetness. Smooth ending, rather sweet malty. After dinner qualities. (Nottingham 11.10.2022).

Half-pint, cask at the micropub. Shared with Finn. Bubbly white head, misty golden body, clingy lacing. Promising grain-fruity smell, lemony hops and bread-like malts. Mid-sweet flavours of lemony hops and cereal malts. Rounded ending with discreet bitterness. Satisfying. (Nottingham 11.10.2022).

Half-pint, cask at the micropub. Near-clear golden body, covering white head, upper part lacing. Inviting aromas of grass and leafy hops. Decent taste profile; grassy and an impact of berries. Ends with moments of pale malts and berry-fruits. Clean taste. Okay partner to my burger. (Nottingham 11.10.2022).

Cask at Northingham Beer & Cider Festival 2021. Gluten Free. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of pale malt, fruity. Taste is malty, caramel, with citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK
