Opaque, again sort of dull, something seems consistently off with the ferm on these IPAs. Thin head. Nice fruity hop, a little papaya, a little peach, pear. Malts are sweet but hold it up, probably with the help of the alcohol that cuts through the finish.

Dull pale, not much head. This one's got a bit of alcohol up front. Moderate bitterness, hops aren't super bright.

Dark brown, thin body, touch of cocoa, lowish bitterness, and lacking residual sugar. I am looking for something to latch onto, and I am not finding it.

Dullish pale amber, thin head. Low carbo, so it's fairly soft and a touch sticky. Fruity hops, indistinct. Decent balance.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Dark chocolate aroma. Spice. Licorice. Taste is roasted bitter, finishing with both chocolate and coffee overtones. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation. Straightforward, traditional porter.

On tap at Tap That!, pours a clear pale piss yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out grass, corn and straw. Flavour is clean and macro-y, with straw, grass and corn. Clean I guess but it's pretty lame.

Pint can. Pours a cloudy opaque yellow color with a foamy white head that has fair retention. The aroma is fresh citrus with grapefruits, lemons, and tangerines. The taste, like the aroma, is all tropical fruits, I get grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple and some guave. The palate was on the lighter side and carbonation was soft. Finished medium in duration with lingering grapefruit. Overall: Decent--one of the better NEIPA's.

La Cumbre and an IPA too? All right. This 16 oz can came to me by way of the Total Wine in Santa Fe. 8.5% ABV by the label, so okay, let us make the pour into a a snifter. A cloudy, mostly light yellow body with a blocky head of completely white foam that settles shortly. I smell hoppiness, tropical and citrus. The taste is in line with the new IPA hybrid mode. Mostly citrus with lemon and grapefruit, a touch of pineapple, lightly pine, some astringency and a dry tartness. Nowhere close to the level of Elevated but La Cumbre keeps generating.
