Cask-conditioned on gravity at the Exeter Winter Ales Festival 14/1/2017. Near black in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Solid, albeit thin in the mouth, porter, with some toasty malts, liquorice, leafy hops and a touch of chocolate, before a dryish thinnish. Fine.

Cask as Maritime Best, half pint shared with Finn at Maritime Inn. Spotty lacing from a dissipating off-white head. Clear amber body. Modest brown malty nose. Malty flavours of nuts and caramel followed by moments of dried fruits towards a bittersweet ending. Fair enough (Plymouth 22.09.2016).
