Draft at BPBW2018. Almost black color beige head. Pine and roast aroma. Taste is lightly bitter burnt espresso. Tasty.

12oz bottle pours a muddy brown with a ring of white head. Nose has malt, toast, yeast, pine. Flavor has more pine, malt, toast. Finishes dry.

Bottle at the January DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a pale brown color with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma was some light smoke, roasted, toasted malts. Caramel toasted notes, light citrus. Okay.

From a bottle at the DC RB gathering January 7, 2018 it is a cloudy pale brown color with a slight head. The Aroma is of roasted grain and citrus. And the taste is thin somewhat caramel

Super smoky like the place is on fire. Black pour with good head and lacing. Caramel. Bittersweet and burnt finish. Bottle thanks to my dad.

hazy orange to amber colour, moderate sized off-white head; aroma of honeydew melon, peach, tropical fruits, piney and orange zest notes, as well as some biscuit; bittersweet syrupy taste with resiny bitterness and the notes listed for the aroma; not bad at all
