Backlog June 2017. Unclear, yellow golden body under a huge, foamy white head. Mild aroma of pale malt and Belgium yeast. Taste is sweet pale malt, citric fruit and spicy yeast. Medium and same aftertaste. Quite straight forward somewhere in between a strong blond and a triple.

Backlog June 2018. Almost clear golden body under a fine, medium sized white head. Aroma has much citric fruit with just hint of malt. Taste is a bit weak malty with citric fruit, lemon and slightly harsh bitterness. Medium to thin bodied with fruity and bitter aftertaste. Not to balanced this one, but definitivly drinkable.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, at reduced price. ABV is 8.2%, IBU 78. Golden colour, huge white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus and pine, hints of stale jam. Fizzy mouthfeel, overcarbonated. Unfresh flavour, notes of yeast, malts and grapefruit, distinct bitterness.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, at reduced price. ABV is 6%, IBU 22. Reddish brown colour, huge and coarse off-white head. Aroma of yeast, hints of caramel. Flavour of malts, caramel and brown bread, some yeast, not too sweet, hints of prunes, very moderate hops. Another evidence why Aja had to throw in the towel: the majority of their beers were too yeasty. They will not be missed.

Backlog March 2019. Dark amber, almost black body with a big, dense tan head. Aroma of roasted dark malt. Taste is quite mild and smooth with basically mostly the malt running the show here. Hint of coffee and cholate, but still malty all over. Medium body and same aftertaste. Nice and pleasant straight forward tasty stout.

Bottle. Clear, deep golden body under a big, dense off-white head. Aroma has malt and some caramel. Taste is sweet malt, dry fruit. Medium body and a moderate aftertaste. Not a typical quad, has some barelywine qualities, but not quite right there either. Not all bad, but not a hit either.
