Description
Liquid Light Brewing Company was born out of a passion for beer and music. We produce modern craft beer in keg, cask and cans.

After a couple of years cuckoo brewing, we found a home of our own and now have a 12bbl brewhouse and tap room in Nottingham.

Our ethos has always been to produce the beer we want to drink, and hopefully you'll enjoy it too!

440ml can. Completely pitch black with a very thin tan head. Aroma of rum, barrel, chocolate. Taste has loads of rum barrel, rich bittersweet cocoa, raisins, more rum, warming booze. Full bodied and smooth. Rather boozy, but excellent.

Can picked up from Hoptimism, Webshop, Leicestershire, UK. Had this at home Wednesday 6th January 2021 listening to Billy Nomates - No and cooking homemade Fish Pie, technically seafood as there are more prawns, mussels and squid than fish. Pours black with a tan head, rich and oily textured beer, big on the bean front and a little bit in yer’ face with the barrel ageing. Of course all of the usual things are here, chocolate, coffee, vanilla etc, and whilst it’s not bad it is a bit heavy handed.

440ml can. Pitch black with almost no head. Aroma of bourbon, tonka, dark chocolate. Taste has lots of whiskey, rich with tonka, dark chocolate, coffee, a little creamy vanilla then lots more oaky bourbon in the finish, booze. Medium-full bodied, very smooth. Whiskey/barrel is almost overpowering the beer, aside from that it's pretty amazing stuff.

400ml can as part of a haul from Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester and drunk at home. Mid- to dark gold and opaque with a small loose white head. Fruity aroma with apricot, pineapple and citrus hop notes and a light underpinning of bready yeast. Sweet taste with a wash of apricot. Finishes with a strange vegetal character but it doesn't ruin the beer although I could do without it. Thick oily body, medium carbonation. Good.

Can from my Beer Gonzo Advent Calendar box, had this at home Xmas Eve, Thursday 24th December 2020 cooking Chertha Kozhi Kari aka Chicken and cashew curry with ginger, cardomom and chilli, listening to Craig Charles standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6 Music. Pours hazy gold with a white head, aggressively hoppiness (not necessarily a bad thing though), it's a good beer but on reflection a little harsh, numbs the tongue a little, hard citrus, strips the tongue, good but no world beater.
