Sampled @ GBBF. Very dark brown to black color with a nice red hue, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, a hint of nuts, dark malts, earthy bitterness. Average to medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all, quite nice.

At GBBF 2014. Black beer lasting tan head. Chocolate. Not a lot of condition. It’s ok .some milky chocolate. Ok but not my thing

Cask - Dark malts, soy and rum. Deep maroon with almost no head. Nutty, twig and a bitter finish with a touch of bittersweet chocolate. Not quite the porter I was expecting.

Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Aroma is really earthy choc, nutty, some berry, choc. Chestnut brown no head. Flavour is rounded earthy wood, nuts, choc. Palate is light, moderately carbonation. Decent porter.

5.9% Cask gravity at Thirty Nine Steps Broadstairs. Clear dark amber colour lasting beige head. Earthy ipa. Not too hot. Earthy dirty English IPA. The strength helps. Some bitter sting on finish. Ok.

Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2013, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Clear medium brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, roasted, ruff. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130124]

Manchester Beer Festival. Black but has a glow about it with an off-white head. Has a strange fusion of hops and roasted malts with a high bitterness finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, toasted - caramel, light hoppy, sweet fruit, grass, herb. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, tropical fruit, malty, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
