Description
Established in 2017 in the most Eastern point of mainland Scotland, we brew our beers in small batches in the nautical town of Peterhead. At Brew Toon we are passionate about creating bold, adventurous craft beers, packed full of flavour and character. We strive to use local ingredients where ever possible and pride ourselves on this provenance.
Brew Toon was born out of a passion for brewing and craftsmanship in general.
Our brewery is based on a historic site in Peterhead, which was once home to "Hunter & Sons - Tanfield Brewery". This heritage is hugely important to us and massively influential in how we run our brewery today.

Can from JK Fine Foods. It pours clear pale blush with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet - sour, juicy, bright, zingy, lemon sherbet, jammy, raspberry and pink Turkish delight. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, zingy, bright, tangy lemon, pink lemonade, raspberry, juicy, refreshers, sherbet, gummy candy and slightly vinous character with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. A classy radler. I had worried that it would have been too sweet but not it has some good tang.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours like cloudy mango juice - with a very quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is sweet - sour, tangy, juicy, tropical fruit punch, loads of mango and some fruit yoghurt. The taste is sweet upfront, plenty of mango, tinned fruit cocktail, mango juice, some creaminess, apricot, peach, fruit yoghurt and some dryness towards the finish. Medium body and fine/soft carbonation. Decent. I am a huge fan of proper mango lassi, but this doesn't quite get there. It needs more tanginess and freshness. Not bad anyhow.

Is it good? 10.2% Imperial Russian Stout? Of course it's good. But how good? I get predominantly raisins in both the nose and the mouth, but really not much else. So...could do better
