Cask, gravity pour at the Bridgnorth Beer Festival: 6th Sep 2014. Dull golden body, even in the bright sunshine, the head a thin white affair. Mildly fruity in nature with a dry finish. Decent enough blend of flavours but nothing stood out as interesting or different. The 5.7% ABV was well hidden.

Cask, gravity pour on 6th Sep 2014 at the Bridgnorth Beer Festival. Bland and boring I am sorry to say. Golden with a minimal white head. The nose was of mildly citrus hops and light malty sweetness, the taste the same. Thin and uninspiring body.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry with mild fine carbonation. Light pale malts, little floralness. Mild dry marmalade, touch of lemon and tangerine. Whisper of smoke. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Cask at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Lightly hazed golden with a well appointed off white covering that retains. Nose is candied fruit peel, light spice, floral notes, hint of booze, rich caramel. Taste comprises candied fruit peels, light smoke, caramel, spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light spice and booze. Decent enough cask barley wine.

Cask at Great British Beer Festival 2014, Olympia, London. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, malty, fruity aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, fruity, very flavourful strong ale.

500ml bottle from Real Ale Warehouse. Pours clear pale gold, long-lasting white head. Aromas of lemon, light caramel. Taste is light bitter lemon. Medium body, creamy texture. Slightly astringent finish. Not bad.
