Description
Kinver Brewery is an award-winning, family owned, independent craft microbrewery located near Kinver Edge and the rock houses on the outskirts of Kinver, South Staffordshire. Kinver Brewery was founded in 2004 using a 4-barrel (6.5 hectolitre) plant purchased from Brewster’s Brewery. We have since increased production capacity to a custom-built 10-barrel (16 hectolitre) plant.
Kinver Brewery use only four ingredients: malted barley, hops, yeast, and water, to produce cask and bottle-conditioned ales. All of our beers are available as vegan, on request. Our hops are sourced from a range of locations including Worcestershire, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia, and USA. We are a SIBA-assured independent craft brewery, recognised by multiple prestigious awards.

Cask at Hereford Beer & Cider Festival 6.07.13 Great tropical fruit nose. Initially starts with a good juicy, fruity slightly sweet burst but this leads onto a dryer than expected strung out bitter finish. The tropical nose does not necessarily transfer into the mouth which is more citrussy, good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Hand-pulled pint at Ye Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 17 Jun 2013. Very light/pale golden body, clear and bright, lager like really: one difference with a lager (in the looks) was that the pure white head gave some impressive lacing, very un-lager like. Dry, hoppy: I’m pleased to say that it wasn’t too citrusy in flavour as most golden brews in the UK seem to be at the moment. OK rather than great. Pleasant without testing your taste buds too much.

Hand-pulled half pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington, Shropshire on 9 Apr 2013. Golden and bright body with a white crown of thin bubbles. The nose and taste were both of citrusy hops: a current pet hate of mine. There are just too many beers like this on the market at the moment: nothing wrong with it, but I’m bored with the style.

Cask at the Walsall Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear yellow straw colour with no head and no life at all. The flavour is medium bitter, with hints of pear and a little watery on the palate. Not what I was expecting and not a classic.
