Micro Brewery in the heart of Sherwood Forest.

Established in 2012, local couple Dave and Daryl Maguire set on a journey to start fullfill their dream to start a mico-brewery in the heart of Sherwood Forest. Both being passionate about beer and the craft of brewing, Kings Clipstone Brewery was born. Based near the heritage site King John's Castle, nestled in the historical village of Kings Clipstone; we make our extensive range of traditional real ales and bottled beers using the finest natural ingredients and local water. It is this that gives our beers their individual characters. Continuing to expend, Kings Clipstone Brewery's ethos for brewing the finest and most innovative beers remains at the heart of what we do.

Pours a clear amber colour with a small frothy off-white head. The aroma is malty, caramel and ripe fruit. A moderately sweet taste, sweet malts, caramel, ripe dark fruit flavours with a hoppy bitter finish.

Cask at the Tiny Tavern, Lincoln. Lightly hazed golden colour with a white head. Floor is slight fruity and hints of earthy yeast. medium body.

ABV: 4.5%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, fruity - dark fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, fruity - dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181018]

18/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and light coffee. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.
