Can from Lidl Aberdeen Bucksburn. It pours hazy pale yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, tropical punch, pineapple, coconut, pina colada, tangerine and mango. The taste is dry with some bitterness upfront, pithy, zesty, orangey citrus, tropical fun times, mango, pineapple, creamy coconut, guava, you h green, damp leaves, herbal, floury bread, peppery spice and smooth pasty malt base. Finish dries and is fruity. Rounded and moreish. Delivers plenty especially considering the cost.

Pours very dark brown with a lingering tan head. Smells of hop resin and roasted malt. Good resinous bitterness and roast malt flavor. A little citrus. Medium body. Good. To me a bit more body would take it up a notch.

Fairly clean, not loads to it, low bitterness, lean pale malts, inklings of citrus rind. Only a suggestion of pine needles. Very basic. Thankfully no off notes, but there’s not a lot to compel here. Drinkable enough, but not exciting in any way.

Keg at Shilling, Glasgow. It pours darkest ruby to black with a thick, fluffy khaki head. The aroma is toasted pine, charred, cacao nibs, dried and dark fruits dale chocolate, toasted pine and coffee. The taste is initially smooth, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, umami, cacao nibs, coffee, wood, light umami, liquorice, toasted fruit cake , ashy and resin with a drying, charred finale. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Works well. Not a huge amount of depth, but balanced..
