In 2000 the company with its plants in Arequipa and Cusco, and with the popular brand Cusqueña, becomes part of the Backus Group (Backus y Johnston), thereby consolidating itself to the point of turning it into a company capable of competing in a globalized environment. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, bit vegetable, light vanilla, reminding somewhat of WD40. Sweet malty flavour, nuts. Watery body, sweet malty finish.
(From 33cL bottle @ Benzai’s place. Thanks for sharing, Rene!)

A copper amber lager with a thick mocha head. In aroma, a strange sweet malt with sulfur notes, and berries, corn, bofff..... In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with grassy notes, corn, not very good. Bottle from Peru. Shared with GRM.

Bottle in Trujillo, just your average macro lager with a taste of mostly corn on a fizzy yellow body. Ok but drink it cold.

Bottles all over Peru. A widely available lager usually served cold. Your typical gold fizzy lager, with an ok taste & body. Nothing special but drinkable on a hot day.
