On tap at Le Carolus, Paris. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, slight lactic nose. Weak malty, light cardboard and some corn with short sweetish finish. Waiter was trying to convince me that it’s Pilsen Callao, although on bill it was Pilsner Urquell, and on tap logo of Pilsen Callao....so who knows?? it was really bad, so I would even agree with him.

Can @ Christers. Pours clear light yellow with a small white head. Aroma of corn, rotten eggs, dust, cardboard. Flavor follows nose with some sweet ripe fruit added. Thin body, lively carbonation. 230812

33cl bottle at La Casa de la Cerveza, Madrid. Pours pale yellow wih a small, white head. Lightly malty aroma with hints of cooked vegetables. Sweet and grainy with a lightly dry finish with some bittterness. Goes down easy in the heat. (2012-08-16)

Bottle. Pours yellow gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. Aroma of grain and corn syrup, less sweet than most. Flavor is grain, grass, slight note of corn syrup. Only a bit sweet and quite refreshing actually. Finish is slightly sweet, no real bitterness.

And one I forgot from the chronicles of the Central American Lager fest this weekend. Thanks to Roswell the Dog for bringing this back and sharing. Pours a clear golden straw color with a smallish white head that dissipates quickly. Smells malty sweet and lightly grainy with faint floral hops The flavor is a bit sweet and grainy with hints of honey. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet grainy mouthfeel. Light lager, nothing exciting, well made, If I ever find myself in Peru I’d drink some unless I find something better.
