Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, cellulose, acetone, yeast, bubble gum. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, yeasty, sharp. 50 cL bottle, courtesy of thewolf. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced, roasted malty and slight caramelish. Sweet, caramelish. Sweet, yeasty, bitter and spiced. Dry malty and phenolic finish. Ends mild sweet and yeasty.

Bottle. An unclear brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Slightly yeasty on the nose, with roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate. Flavorwise it’s a bit boring, but not bad. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and some bitterness in the mouth, full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Slightly acidic too, finishing roasted and slightly bitter. Not a world class in any way, but the best Staarup beer so far. 110708

Bottle, as Pitchfork Jalapeno. A greeting beer, finding its way out of the bottle without any help. Unclear, amber body and a small, off-white head. The aroma is mostly like when opening a jar of jalapenos. Some fruityness too, and indications of sweetness. It’s far from burning in the mouth or throat, rather boring in the flavor actually. Sweetness and caramel too. Well, they’ve found a nice level of jalapeno impact, but the beer is too boring to be interesting in any way. 110708

Bottle, as Pitchfork. It’s a clear, golden to amber body with chuncks of sediments. A small off-white head sits on top. The aroma is weak, with candy-ish notes and some yeast. Slightly milky and chalky, with tropical fruits. Not much bitterness. Not much bitterness and flavor in any way actually. Medium body, semi dry. Boring finish. Bottle at Latino, Aarhus. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy wonderfully smoked. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.
