Description
Our mission is pretty much monomaniacal: to brew f*cking good beer. We call it craft-y beer because the owl's got a sharp, uncompromised tongue and a penchant for mischief.

On a typical day we toy with the familiar – unfiltered lager, silky hefeweizen and puckery American IPA, anyone? – but at night we explore the crafty beer extremes from our medieval watering hole Haarlem (That's Haarlem with two 'a's, the Dutch one, and the namesake of New York's single-'a'ed Harlem).

Really truly, our idea of fun is abusing the rauchbeer-Scotch ale-sour beer-oak-aged Imperial Stout-Barley wine clichés. The first rule of owl school: when using hops think in wheelbarrows and not buckets.

So enjoy us, drink us and by all means hop fans abuse us right back – ideally via our social media channels where we announce our very active new creations.

Can. Straight from can. Color: Hazy golden, white head, I presume. Aroma: Coriander, wheat malt, yeaaty hints. Taste: A lot of coriander, wheat malt, citrus zest and banana notes, yeasty hints. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Ok.

0.33 l can thanks to Marko, shared with Ogi and him. Unclear amber, minimal head. Aroma is cardboard, caramel, dried fruit such as raisins, spice. Flavour is intense gingerbread, nutmeg, sweet cocoa biscuit. Behind it, toasty malts and caramel. Sweet, oily, smooth, soft carbonation, not heavy, not cloying. Finishes sweet.

Can from KMP, a few days after expiration date, with Hrabren and Ogi. Hazy brownish-amber body, off-whtie head, lasting. Caramelly, cinnamon, nutmeg aroma. Soft, pleasant taste, caramel, nutmeg and cinnamon, not much else. Maybe lightly gone, but still tasty!

Op tap bij Borefts '25. Dank Marko! Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Zure kersen, hout, gebrande mout, licht boozy, wat koffie, zuur-bittere finish. Medium body. Niet mijn smaak.

Op tap bij Borefts '25. Thanks Marko! Zwarte kleur, snel verdwijnende bubbelende kraag. Dit had al een voorteken moeten zijn. Extreem hete sambal, gebrande en gerookte mout, leer, meer sambal, loeiheet en lang nabrandend. Medium body. Ondrinkbaar.

Op tap bij Borefts '25. Thanks Marko! Mistiggele kleur, witte kraag. Hoppig, fruitig, harsig, dennen, sinaasappelschil, hint van steenvruchten, bitter, redelijk licht maar prima typische Uiltje DIPA verder.
