Bottle. Dark brown, with a little orange hue. Small, tan head that diminished rather quickly. The beer looks quite clear, but obviously not all clear. The nose has lots of butterscotch and coffee, with a little fruityness, as well as sweetness and roastyness. The flavor starts with butterscotch as well, and the coffee soon shows up. There is some bitterness as well, mostly coffee-like bitterness, but also hoppy bitterness, and it is quite sweet and roasted as well. Medium to full body, slightly oily feeling in the mouth. Quite long, coffee-bitter finish. Probably the best I’ve had from Løkken so far, but I didn’t manage to finish this bottle either. Certainly not the best brewery in Denmark. Rating: 4-4-4-4-9-2.5. Bottle. A hazy brown beer with a small beige head. DMS, caramel, toffee-notes and some wet cardboard in the aroma. DMS, caramel, some roasted malt and bitterness in the mouth, finishing rather quickly. Medium body. Didn’t impress or satisfy this time either. If I am to try this one again, it will be at the brewpub. No more bottles for me. (081215)

Bottled. Cloudy yellow, rocky head. Tart citric nose. Dry and lemony with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Fairly low bitterness. Clearly infected, but still drinkable and with some refreshing qualities.

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber-brown beer with a thin lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet yeasty with light notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel and nuts, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is thin. Somehow not finished and somewhat characterless.

From 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a off white head. Aroma is sweet malty with citric touch, a bit yeasty/fruity. Flavour is bitter, malty with a rather sur fruit note. Finish is dry. Boring.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Enjoyit/MPA. Hazy, amber golden with a handsome, dense, off-white head leaving laces. Citrusy, acidic and infected aroma. Medium body with dry notes of oranges. Quite bitter with an extreme, lactic dryness. Clearly infected - as most Løkken beers. 200507

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet fruity - especially peaches, combined with stinging notes of carraway seeds, and light burnt plastic notes. The flavor is sweet and salt with notes of wheat, fruit, and an acidic citrus note, leading to a dry end. Another mistake.

Draught at Frederikshavn øl- og vinfestival 07. Cloudy brown colour. Nice, big, creamy, stable light brown head. Brown sugar flavour with slightly harsh bitterness. The hops seem a bit strange, Campari bitterness.
