Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2022. A hazed burnt gold coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is green hop, weed, nettle, green berries. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, earthy grains, rustic, tangy gooseberry, green hop. Gooseberry. Palate is semi crisp, moderate carbonation. Fine sweaty green hop. Ok.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2022. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is earthy grains, straw, grass, vanilla. Hedgerow hop. Palate is semi sweet oily, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of semi green berries, grass straw, hay. Ok.

Draft at the Craft Beer Shop, Little Chalfont. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a short-lived, bubbly white head. The aroma is malt, light floral hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, malt, light citrus, floral, lavender, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Gravity cask at the Craft Beer Shop, Little Chalfont. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a short-lived, bubbly white head. The aroma is malt, citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a smooth, rich, syrupy, juicy citrus, light pepper spice, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Watford beer festival 2022. A light hazed amber orange coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is big earthy grains, wet grass, marker pen, alcohol, green apple. Palate is semi sweet Sticky hop, mellow cask condition. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, grassy hop, oily, hop, alcohol, bit flabby. Ok.

Cask at Watford beer festival 2022. A clear mid gold coloured pour with a lasting loose off white head. Aroma is earthy grains, grass, dirty citrus, nettle. Flavour is composed of earthy grains, hedgerow hop, grass, rustic bread, green citrus. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, sticky hop, decent cask condition.

Forholdvis pålitelige notater fra en travel dag på The Great British Beer Festival, London 02.08.22: brunsvart, fint skum som varer. Lakridschokolader, vanilje, røykmalt (ikke for påtrengende), granskudd og stikkelsbær. Mersmak.

From cask at GBBF with Holmen1 03.08.22. Dark brown ebony. Persistent pale brown head. Astringent and herbal aroma and taste of raosted barley, cough medicine and liquorice. Low drinkability.
