Pours a near black from a bottle. Faint vanilla over a roasty malt, similar flavor. Rather thin frankly. Good beer.

Sample at Beer Meets Wood on 09/23/2017. Clear dark golden color with a thin white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of gin, tequila and hops. Medium body with flavors of tequila, juniper, citrusy hops and malt. The finish is floral and fruity with a gin aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at beer meets wood last weekend. Slightly hazy deep golden color with a small white bubbly head. Its a big beer and you can taste every bit of the alcohol as it slithers down the gullet.

12 oz. bottle from CBC, Amesbury, Ma. Pitch black in color, good head and retention in the snifter. Aroma shows me roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, and cocoa. The flavor has a good backbone of malt, chocolate, light coffee, just slight wood. The mouthfeel is nice and thick with a full bodied feel.

. The best aspect of this is the base stout. The barrel aging did almost nothing. I get no whiskey whatsoever. (How can you with only 30 days in the barrel?) But the basic stout was brewed real well.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Mild meadow aromas. Sweet juniper and mild tequila upfront turning to dry, caramel in the medium length finish.

Pours a rather dark caramel amber from a tap. Aroma is gin and tequila. Flavor is like a gin and ginger. A little weird, but okay.

12 ounce bottle. Bottled on March 30, 2017, batch 4. Pours black with small tan head. Doesn’t smell particularly barrel aged. Fumy, slightly dry black malts, a little acrid but not acidic aroma. A little alcoholic essence from barrel. Flavor is milder with more of a cocoa carbonated mineral mix. Drying with the slightest acidity and low bitterness and low sweetness. Pretty nice beer all around without a lot of barrel or alcohol.

16 oz. can split by T.J, thanks for the tick! Canned on 4/18/17. Clear golden color, head died to nothing. Aroma is botanical like gin. Maybe a honey Pils note. Swirl around the snifter produces a bouquet.

Flavor is grainy, good amount of flowers, not a whole lot more. Lighter body with a crisp texture. Ends with a gin like finish. Interesting but certainly going to revisit.
