Bottle from Epsom Circle Market, Epsom NH. Aroma is strong bready malts with a little bit of yeasty basement smell. Appearance is massive, loudly crackling, 3 finger foamy beige head (actually a little annoying waiting for it to calm down) on top of clear, beautiful amber red, copiously sparkling liquid. Trace lacing. Taste is moderately sweet with minimally bitter finish with hints of smoke/coffee. Palate is medium bodied with frothy and overly carbonated mouthfeel. Overall, many attractive features interspersed with some not so attractive features which brings this back to the pack some.

Bottle from the Lazy dog Lightly hazy red amber color with a huge frothy off white head. Big pine and resin with some citrus on the nose. Plenty of bread and caramel and just a touch of chocolate to round things out. Drinkable with an old school feel to it.

Bottle from the lazy dog. Pale straw with a touch of haze beneath a frothy bone white head. Earthy and funky with a touch of lemon and skunk. Lingering sweetness perceived on the tongue. Light almost wit like but a nice drinker.

Bottle from Epsom Circle Market in Epsom, NH. Aroma is roasted malts with chocolate, hints of burnt toast and alcohol. Appearance is dark--mainly black but dark red amber when backlit. Small tan head on pour but dissipates fairly quickly except at edges. Taste is mild up front but moderately bitter with coffee overtones in the middle and mild chocolatey sweetness toward the end and coffee bitterness at the finish, which is long. Palate is just shy of medium bodied--a little lighter than expected and a little more carbonated than expected, with mild-to-moderate creaminess. Overall, there is a lot going on here from start to finish on many different levels. It doesn’t hit a home run on all of them but is well above average and would definitely have again and would recommend.

Pours pale yellow into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Earthy banana and lemon aromas. Dry with sweet banana and bubblegum upfront turning to lemon zest before the lasting yeast finish.

Pours an amber from the tap. Good hoppy aroma but rather falls flat in the mouth, not much going on. Okay beer.

Pours a rich deep brown from a bottle. Aroma is a boozy vanilla and oak, like a nice bourbon. Flavor adds toffee and a nice bitterness, smells like it will taste very sweet, but the taste is surprisingly dry, yet a big mouthfeel. Not much alcohol burn at the end. Good beer.

Deep golden brown color with a decent sized off white head that slowly dissipates. Rich caramel and toffee maltiness with hints of smoke, chocolate and dark dried fruit. The flavor is sweet with pruney maltiness offset with a bit of earth and smoke. Nice sipper.
