Pours a surprisingly dark russet from a can. Aroma is a little disappointingly light, was expecting classic pine to be strong since it is billed as a west coast IPA, here it's rather faint. Flavor is a little too sweet for a west coast IPA. Good beer, could be better for what it's trying to be.

Pours a hazy light amber from a can, rather effervescent. Aroma is lemon, grain, and estery yeast; floral. Similar flavor, rather sweet, yeast seems almost Belgian style. Very good beer.

Can (9/1/22) pour from Total Wine & More, Danvers. It's a turbid dark brown with red hue, light sparkle, 2-finger width frothy tan head with excellent retention and splotchy lacing. Aroma is strong earthy toffee. Taste is caramel malt and roast with slightly tart element. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not getting many flavors here and no maple syrup! Weird tart feature. Did I get a bad one? Miss.

Can (1/14/22) pour from Beer and Wine Nation. It's a cloudy chestnut brown with nice sparkle, finger-plus width beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is roasted earthy malt, brown bread with light dried fruit. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, brown bread, tobacco, vague nuts. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not complex but some nice elements--good for the style.

Cask at Power Beer Fest, 5/14/22. Clear, peachy-marigold. Rapidly-dissipating, off-white head. Some mild citrus in the nose, sparse, cracker and dough-like malts. Kolsch yeast I guess. Clean, low on aromatics. Lightly citric adjunct with soft, malty textures, low-to-moderate sweetness and really just not much of anything to remark about. It's clean, at least.
