Description
We built Fair Winds Brewing Company to provide fresh, local, flavorful craft beers to our neighbors and friends in Fairfax County and throughout the Commonwealth and the District of Columbia. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all; instead we believe that craft beer, like food, should complement the moment and add to the overall experience.

Our beers are born from inspiration, crafted with devotion and served with the excitement and anticipation one experiences when sharing their craft. We welcome you to fill your sails with Fair Winds.

22oz bottle pours a clear gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has lemon, straw, a little parmesan, grass. Flavor follows, grist, lemon, grass. Dry finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle at the Local DC Tasting. Clear pale yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus fruit and peel, pineapple, floral notes. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, wheat. Medium-light body with a dry and bitter finish.

Florals and some light booze. Malt. Amber pour with good head and lacing. Bitter finish. Bottle.

Poured into a snifter showing dark honey amber with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows clean malts with a hint of clean pine. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of very resinous pine with light hints of malt. Strong IPA finish.

Bottle. Clear golden color, bright white head. Lemony aroma. Taste is bitter citrus. Nice.

Very nice pine on the top of this. Golden pour with ok head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Easy drinking with fresh hops. Bottle.

Draft at Meridian Pint. Pretty close to opaque brown color, beige edge head, see pic please. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is shockingly earthy coffee grounds. Nice finisher.

Bottle purchased from the brewery. Poured a clear yellow orange color with a very small white head. Aroma was grassy hop notes. Crisp hop notes. Chewy, refreshing.

4 oz pour on draft at Meridian Pint during their 6th anniversary celebration. Black with light tan head. Aromas of tobacco, whiskey, smoked wood, dark chocolate. Tastes of whiskey, oak, tobacco, smoked wood, dark chocolate, licorice. Medium body with a dry finish. Not quite what I was expecting but still pretty good. Not quite as good as the base beer.
