Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: transparent copper color with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: bright piney to sweet oniony danky and grapefruity hop tones, super light honey dew comes out with more warmth; mild clean malts underneath
Flavor: bittersweet balance of the prior noted aromas; subtle crisp piney to oniony and honeydew to grapefruity tones in the finish
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability to this one; fairly smooth but also some hop assertiveness too.
Overall: I'd say a very nicely done IPA that seems to be coming across somewhat like a West coast styled IPA.

Growler from the brewery.
Mostly clear light golden color with a good sized long lasting bubbly white head. Resinous pine and light citrus with hints of tangerine and grapefruit pith on the nose with some faint sweet bready malt at the fringes. Bitter resinous pine up front almost immediately yields to the grapefruit pineapple and mango hop flavors. Sweet bready malt flavor with a hint of honey. Faint green oniony hop flavor. Moderate level of hop bitterness. I had a few samples yesterday and some this growler tonight, this is a damn fine DIPA imho. --- Beer merged from original tick of Great North Tragically Hopped on 28 Aug 2016 at 19:31 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Can from the brewery, and on tap.
Brilliantly clear deep golden color with a huge bubbly bone white head that persists forever before leaving some nice stickies on the sides of the glass. Big citrus and pine resin on the nose with a bready lightly toasted maltiness to back it up. Light earth and a touch of stone fruit round the nose out nicely. The flavor holds a solid toastiness and light bready caramel malt. Big grapefruity citrus with plenty of earthy pine hopiness. Moderate hop bitterness especially as it lingers long into the finish. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a bitter resinous mouthfeel. That's a pretty damn good IPA right there!

Clear dark golden color and small white head and lace. Pine and some fruityness in the nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Quite light for its abv. Piney, some fruityness, even pineapple in the flavour. Clean but easy. Nothing outstanding but these kind of beers are rare in NEDIPA world.
